Thank You 30 is a theater podcast based out of Ventura County, and hosted by Adam Womack and Dave Hatfield. It focuses mainly on the community theater of Ventura County, shining a well-deserved light on the talented and hard-working individuals - many of them purely volunteers - that help to bring joy, drama, and art to audiences all over the county.
The first podcast episode was released on January 18th, 2018, and previewed the entire 2018 season for all of the local theaters, as well as some coming attractions in Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. It had over 130 plays in 1 week. Since then, Thank You 30 has published 30 episodes and a handful of short-form reels of cut audio called "Take 5's".
Topics on the podcast have ranged from reviewing local and regional shows, working with youth in theater, how shows can age poorly, placing bets on the Tony Awards, and the importance of diversity. On their website, thankyou30.com, they have published written reviews of shows not covered on the podcast.
Thank You 30 have had the pleasure of hosting over a dozen guests on their podcast, including the stars and directors of several shows and production companies in the area, a Four Star Award-winning lighting designer, the artistic director of Five Star Theatricals, the General Manager of Camarillo Skyway Playhouse, and a voice actor with several Disney credits.
In their coming second year, Thank You 30 hopes to continue to push the envelope on opening dialogs within the community on the subjects that are often kept hush-hush, for which the podcast has become known to do. They will keep bringing more unique voices to the mic to showcase the various talents and opinions that Ventura County theater has to offer.
For our live show we have a special guest!
